The 2009 Fota International Liturgical Conference on Beauty in Sacred Art and Architecture (held on Fota Island, near Cork, Ireland) was convened to examine the need for reform and revival of religious Architecture, painting, sculpture, and furnishing design. This volume is composed of 6 papers presented by Architects and Scholars that examine and discuss the ancient and traditional principles that can guide the Church in overcoming the "new iconoclasm" of the post-Conciliar period as well as current work that demonstrates new directions in sacred architecture. Benedict XVI and Beauty in Sacred Art and Architecture features an Article on New Catholic Architecture in the United States by Ethan Anthony AIA ICTP; Principal of Cram and Ferguson Architects.
